During the 2022 presidential campaign, the ecological crisis occupied on average less than 3% of the media space. Faced with this observation, the Quota Climat collective was created spontaneously to contribute to the strengthening of the ecological question in the media agenda. The collective promotes a request in particular, that journalists and editorial staff make a voluntary commitment to devote at least 20% of the audiovisual space available to climate and biodiversity issues. In addition to this quantitative proposal, the collective is also campaigning for better quality information and more transversal media coverage of ecological issues.
